US Congress Makes Landmark Decision For Rivers and Rights

In a recent landmark decision, the United States Congress has taken a strong stance opposing the construction of large dams by international financial institutions, such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). The new mandate calls for justice for human rights abuses as well as for a shift to decentralized renewable energy solutions that are more effective, protect the environment, and respect human rights.
